Facts about the Los Chícharos Retirement Center. First of all let me saw that this is NOT a nursing home.
Residents are able to bathe and feed themselves as if they were in their own homes. It will be ready to open
at the end of Abril, 2010.
It is located in the friendly, peaceful city of Union de San Antonio, in the Highlands of the State of Jalisco.
Union de San Antonio has an approximate population of 16,000, but is only minutes from the city of San Francisco del Rincón,
a city of 126,000 according to the 2005 census, but has grown tremendously, which is on the outskirts of Lẹn,
Guajuato which according to the 2005 census had a population of 1,278,000. It also has grown much larger. León
is only 20 miles from Union de San Antonio. The Colonial city of Lagos de Moreno (130,000 population) is only 30 minutes
to the north, on the highway to San Luis Potosí, Aguascaliente and Zacatecas. La Union de San Antonio is a quiet
city has a number of parks, a lake, a modern zoo with pools, and beautiful central park with a gazebo. The locals are
very receptive to people from other areas. The Los Chicheros Retirement Center has the following characteristics:
- 11 Rooms which are singles, doubles, triple and a suite
- 15 acres of land, which houses the main structure, a laundry building, and an additional building with 2 larger
rooms, a small garden area, and a roofed area for a cookout if you desire.
- There are several covered passage ways to play games, and visit. There is a reception area, and a piano, and telescopes.
- A modern kitchen, and a large dining room for meals and other diversions.
- The facility has nature walkways for entertainment and excercise.
- City water
- Ample parking to one side
- And many other amenities
- We plan to provide weekly tour facilities.
- The Receptionist is also a Nurse.
- The Retirement Center Administrator is a Medical Doctor
